Κατέχει πτυχίο στα Οικονομικά και Μαθηματικά από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Wisconsin και διδακτορικό τίτλο στα Οικονομικά από το Πανεπιστήμιο Yale. Εργάστηκε ως ερευνητής στη Διεθνή Τράπεζα και δίδαξε στο Yale University και στο European University Institute. Το 2009-10 ήταν επισκέπτης ερευνητής στο Northwestern University. Είναι ερευνητικός εταίρος του Κέντρου Έρευνας Οικονομικής Πολιτικής (Centre for Economic Policy Research, CEPR) και ανώτερος συνεργάτης του Κέντρου Οικονομικής Ανάλυσης του Ρίμινι (Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis). Από τον Νοέμβριο 2016 είναι Πρόεδρος του Τμήματος Οικονομικών.

Το κύριο ερευνητικό του πεδίο είναι η εμπειρική βιομηχανική οργάνωση. Έχει εργαστεί σε θέματα τιμολόγησης, διάκρισης τιμών, και ποιότητας και πληροφόρησης. Έχει επίσης καταπιαστεί με θέματα διεθνούς εμπορίου, όπως τη σχέση εξαγωγών και παραγωγικότητας και το εμπόριο μεταχειρισμένων αγαθών. Έχει δημοσιεύσει αρκετές μελέτες για διάφορες πτυχές της Κυπριακής οικονομίας, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της πρόσφατης οικονομικής κρίσης. Profile Information
He hοlds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and a PhD in Economics from Yale University. He has worked as a researcher at the World Bank and taught at Yale University and the European University Institute. In 2009-10 he was a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University. He is currently a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a Senior Fellow at the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis. As of November 2016 he is the Chair of the Economics Department.
Ηe teaches Industrial Organization, History of Economic Thought, and Microeconomics.

His primary field is empirical industrial organization; he has worked on pricing, price discrimination, information intermediation and quality assessment. He has also done work on international trade issues such as the link between exporting and productivity and international trade in used goods. He has written several policy papers on the Cyprus economy, including a few on the recent financial crisis. He is currently working on consumer behavior in markets for durable and storable goods.
