Βασικές σπουδές στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο της Θεσσαλονίκης, Ελλάς. (Πτυχίο Μαθηματικών το 1985. Διδακτορική Διατριβή το 1991). Υπήρξε μεταπτυχιακός υπότροφος του προγράμματος "Erasmus" στο Πανεπιστήμιο "La Sapienza" της Ρώμης (1989-1990), μεταδιδακτορικός ερευνητής στα Πανεπιστήμια New South Wales (1991-1992) και Αδελαΐδας (1992-1995) της Αυστραλίας, ερευνητής στο Research Center for Sensor Signal and Information Processing της Αυστραλίας (1993-1995). Eπίκουρος καθηγητής του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου από 8/12/1995 μέχρι 31/8/1999. Αναπληρωτής καθηγητής του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου από
1/9/1999 μέχρι 30/6/2008. Καθηγητής του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου από 1/7/2008.
