Dr. Andrie Michaelides is a Postdoctoral Researcher (YUFE Alliance) and visiting lecturer at the Department of Business & Public Administration of the University of Cyprus, where she teaches principles of management, organizational behavior, cross-cultural management and HRM.  She was educated at Cranfield University in the UK (PhD in Management and Leadership) and Indiana University in Bloomington, USA (BSc., MBA).  

Dr. Michaelides is a Visiting Fellow of the Centre for Gender, Leadership, and Inclusion (GLIC) of Cranfield University’s School of Management.  She has also been appointed Chair of the Gender in Management Track of the British Academy of Management since 2018. She currently serves as Associate Editor of the Gender in Management: an International Journal.

With extensive practitioner experience as Human Resources Director of a multinational organization for many years in Europe and the Middle East, she combines research with knowledge acquired from practice in order to contribute to pervasive issues within the field HRM.

Her research interests include gender inequality in management positions, women in leadership, gender and career success, flexible working programs and their role in leveraging women's career advancement and sustainability. She currently researches the determinants of flexible and sustainable careers through synergies between society, organization and family and has presented her work in various international conferences in Europe and the US.
