Undergraduate studies at the University of Rennes 2, France (licence in European Studies – Langues Etrangeres Appliquees, 1993), post-graduate studies at the University of Rennes 2 (maitrise in European Studies – Langues Etrangeres Appliquees, 1994 ; maitrise in Teaching French as a Foreign Language, Francais Langue etrangere, 1996) and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, France (D.E.A. in Linguistics, research on the teaching of Turkish as a « native » language to Turkish migrants‘ children in France, 2002).
Her interests include sociolinguistics, in particular language policies, language and power, as well as alternative pedagogy and new technologies in teaching of foreign languages and cultures, and pedagogical material development.
