All academic and research activities of the Department are overseen by the Department Council, in accordance with the directives of the Council of the School of Engineering and the University Senate. The Council convenes once every month of the academic year. It consists of all faculty members of the department and a number of student representatives. The Council is supported by a number of committees that focus on various important aspects of the life of the Department. The current members of the Council and the committees are listed below:
