B.Sc. in Finance
Specialization in Finance focuses on consolidating the knowledge of the theoretical framework and analytical methods needed for successful financial decision-making under conditions of uncertainty prevailing in the complex, competitive and globalized business environment. Graduates with this specialization will develop skills that enable them to carry out financial operations (in relation to capital markets and investment decisions) in a wide range of organizations such as banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, portfolio management agencies, industrial firms, commercial firms and government agencies. Necessary skills for students looking to continue their studies at the postgraduate level (Master, Ph.D) are also offered as part of the B.Sc. in Finance.
Depth / Specialization Courses
B.Sc. in Finance requires successful completion of nine depth / specialization courses (these courses should be in addition to PBA222: Financial Management is required for all students in Business Administration). Five out of nine depth / specialization courses are required by all students who want to specialize in Finance. The remaining four courses are designed to give students the flexibility to customize their degree in a manner that better suits their individual interests.
The following five courses are required by all students undertaking the B.Sc. in Finance.
