The International Relations and Promotion Sector supervises three offices: the Publications Office, the International Relations and Promotion Office and the Mobility Support Office.

The Administrative and Secretarial Support Office of the Service provides secretarial and administrative support to the Director of the Service, and assistance in other areas when requested.

RESEARCH AND LIAISING WITH INDUSTRY SECTOR

The Research Support Office provides administrative support to the academic community for research programmes funded within the University budget. As such, it is responsible for all internal research programmes and those research programmes funded by the A.G. Leventis Foundation. It also offers administrative support to the Senate Committee for Research.

The University Industry Liaison Office represents the University in dealings with local business and industry. It helps with job placement of postgraduate students; offers further education and training programmes to members of the Cyprus business community; and makes relevant University research available to local business and industry.

The Proposals Development Office keeps abreast of new calls for research proposals, especially those announced by the European Commission and the Research Promotion Foundation. It also identifies sources of research funding and assists with proposals for funding and the requisite application procedures. The Office works in close collaboration with the European Office of Cyprus (Nicosia and Brussels).

Basic responsibility of the Review and Signing of Research Contracts Office is to examine and sign contracts, cooperation and collaboration agreements and generally agreements between the University of Cyprus and other organizations relating to research and mainly research funding. This requirement derives from the obligation of the University of Cyprus so that such contracts are always signed by a legal representative duly authorized by the authorities of the University.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND PROMOTION SECTOR

The Publications Office produces and distributes all major publications of the University. These include the annual undergraduate and graduate prospectuses (in Greek and English), a tri-annual volume on the University’s research activity, the University Annual Report, information brochures and leaflets, and commemorative publications (e.g., for graduation, awarding of honorary degrees ceremonies). The Office oversees the publication process from the initial design/layout through the final printing and distribution. The Office also manages the University website, and offers administrative support to the Publications Policy Committee, the Website Committee as well as the Cyprus University Publications Committee.

The International Relations and Promotion Office coordinates all international collaborations of the University. It organises the participation of the University in fairs for student recruitment, and identifies potential research partners for the University. The Office is the signatory to all Bilateral Agreements of Cooperation with universities, research centres, and other organizations both in Cyprus and abroad. The Office represents the University in (external) networks and organizations in which the University participates. It also provides administrative support to the Senate Committee on International Relations Committee.

The Mobility Support Office is in charge of providing information of life-long earning programmes and the application of LLP/ERASMUS and LEONARDO Programmes at UCY. In addition, it is in charge of the mobility within the framework of bilateral agreements with collaborating institutions.
