UCY Internationalisation Strategy


The University of Cyprus is a member in University Networks and Associations worldwide, while it has signed Bilateral Agreements of Cooperation with universities and research institutions in Europe, Australia, Middle East, Asia, USA, Canada and Africa. These agreements facilitate the student and academic staff exchanges, joint research projects, conferences and exchange of teaching and research material.

International Relations 

The International Relations Sector of the International Relations Service, is responsible for the coordination of the International Cooperation and International Relations of the University of Cyprus, as well for informing the academic community on European programmes. It deals with Bilateral Agreements of Cooperation with Universities and organizations in Cyprus, Europe and the rest of the world.

It has the administrative support of the International Relations Committee, the handling of the budget 3/312 - European programmes, 3/319 - Bilateral Agreements of Cooperation and 3/314 - Subscriptions, Contributions and representation to other Universities and organizations. It deals with partnerships with networks such as UNICA, CMU and LEONET and organizations such as ACU, EUA, UNESCO and the European Union.

Mobility Support 

The Sector is also responsible for the management and administration of all of the categories of the ERASMUS+ and ERASMUS+ International programmes dealing with mobility. It also deals with mobility within the framework of bilateral agreements outside Erasmus and with categories of mobility within the framework of other programmes such as Marie Curie, ERASMUS MUNDUS, etc.
