Theodora Kyratsi holds a B.Sc. in Physics (1996) and M.Sc. in "Physics of Materials" from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1998). She earned her Ph.D. in Physics with strong emphasis in Material Science in 2002 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During her Ph.D. and postdoctoral research, she worked for 4 years in the Chemistry Department of Michigan State University. In 2003 she moved to Cyprus and worked at the Department of Education of the University of Cyprus where she taught Physics laboratories and supervised students during their student-teaching practice in Sciences. She is Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering of the University of Cyprus, since September 2004.

Her research interests lie in the area of Material Science: Material optimization, doping techniques and solid solutions, annealing, sintering, intercalation. Material Characterization. X-rays techniques. Thermal Analysis. Charge-transport - Thermal - Optical properties. Thermoelectric Materials for cooling applications and power generation.
