Profile
Victor Roudometof (PhD Sociology and Cultural Studies, Pittsburgh, 1996) has studied history, economics, cultural studies, and sociology. He has held appointments at Princeton University, Washington and Lee University, Miami University and the American College of Thessaloniki. He is the author of over 20 articles, 30 book chapters and two monographs on issues of nationalism in South-eastern Europe. He has edited two special issues of the Journal of Political and Military Sociology (2003, 2007) and a special issue of Social Compass (2009). He has also edited or co-edited several volumes on nationalism, transnationalism, Americanization and religion. He is member of the International Advisory Board of the European Journal of Social Theory and Associate Editor for the Journal of Political and Military Sociology.
