- Commitment to Teaching, Learning and Research
Key Point
Use AI to support your learning and research, but never to replace your own critical thinking, creativity, and effort.
Examples
Course Instructors
✅ Use AI to create visual aids or draft materials that help explain complex topics — always check for accuracy.
❌ Don’t rely on AI visuals without verifying they align with your learning goals or contain factual errors
Students
✅ Use AI to brainstorm ideas or correct grammar to improve your writing skills.
✅ Use AI to get feedback on your drafts but make sure you write your own final version.
❌ Don’t use AI to write an entire essay, assignment, or thesis section for you.
❌ Don’t copy AI-generated text word-for-word without proper revision and critical thought.
Researchers
✅ Use AI to create concept maps or literature overviews to deepen your understanding.
✅ Use AI to identify connections between theories and data but verify the original sources yourself.
❌ Don’t use AI to write whole sections of a publication.
❌ Don’t present AI-generated summaries as your own analysis without review.
