In detail, KIOS operates much like biological systems; it utilizes state-of-the-art sensing, mobile (UAVs, UGVs, remotely operated, etc.), or stationary (cameras, satellite data, environmental sensors (pressure, temperature, humidity, etc.), to build datasets, which can also be fused by crowdsourced data. The Center uses these datasets to develop, train and build state-of-the-art AI models, capable of converting, in real-time, and in an efficient manner (i.e. optimal use of resources) raw data into context relevant to the application.
