The Laboratory for Internet Computing (LINC, http:\/\/linc.ucy.ac.cy\/) was established in the year 2002, with the aim to conduct outstanding interdisciplinary research and innovation and produce new knowledge and tools that can be applied to solve real-life problems in the field of Internet Computing. Recent research activities focus on Cloud Computing and Data Science. LInC has a strong experience in cutting-edge research and development through projects funded by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus with a total budget of over 9M euros since its start. LInC has over 22 years experience in operating production-quality digital infrastructure facilities and services (Grids and Clouds). Current infrastructure comprises dedicated clusters running Linux, Openstack, Docker and Kubernetes, with over 350 cores and over 80 TB of storage, a \u201cgreen\u201d data-center testbed with an adjoining photovoltaic facility installation, and IOT testbeds comprising sensors, robotic arms, smart cameras. LInC enjoys an excellent reputation for its academic training of young scientists. During the 22 years of its operation, more than 80 researchers at the post-doctoral, PhD, and MSc levels have been trained in LInC. Several LInC alumni have pursued distinguished careers in academic, research and industrial organizations in Cyprus, Europe and the Middle East.
