INTRODUCTION

The Department of Business and Public Administration offers a Minor in Entrepreneurship to a limited number of students of other departments but is mostly constructed particularly for students from the School of Science and Applied Sciences (Engineering School, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics and Statistics).

The minor in Enterpreneurship gives the opportunity to students to achieve more knowledge relative to technological evolution, business evaluation of technological and other innovations, and acquire the necessary knowledge which will allow them to be effectively engaged in the business field (i.e. the creation of a new business) in various economical fields. 

 

Programme´s Structure

The required courses of the minor divide into two categories: compulsory and elective courses. Students must cover at least 60 ECTS (10 courses), five (5) of each are compulsory.

Note 1:  The course BPA432 will be offered only when the Department is able to offer it at the specific time. In cases when the Department is unable to offer this course, students will have to choose one of the following courses (see Tables 2-5). 

The elective courses have to be chosen from the following tables in the relative science fields. The programme is structured in a specific way in order to provide students with the maximum flexibility to choose courses and get involved in the business fields, in which they are more interested.

From the introductory courses (BPA 101/131, BPA231, BPA241/243, BPA244, AFN111, AFN211, AFN222) only 2 can be credited in the requirements of the Minor in Enterpreneurship.
