Our research informs public policy, strengthens organisational practice, advances institutional governance and contributes to societal well-being. Faculty work combines theoretical rigour with engagement across public institutions, industry, civil society and international networks, essentially pursuing research outputs that meaningfully speak to economic and social challenges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Department\u2019s research contributes to <strong>theoretical advancement<\/strong> across management and organisational studies, marketing and international business, human resource management, operations, analytics and decision sciences. Faculty serve as associate editors and editorial board members of leading international journals, receive competitive research distinctions and participate in international scholarly initiatives. Through these roles, the Department contributes not only to knowledge creation but also to shaping research and disciplinary directions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Faculty research plays an active role in shaping <strong>policy and institutional reform<\/strong> at national and European levels. Members of the Department have provided advisory input and expert consultation to ministries, regulatory authorities and European bodies, contributing expertise to areas such as gender mainstreaming and gender budgeting, labour market and human resource policy, digital market regulation and competitiveness strategy, as well as sustainability and green taxation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Department maintains active <strong>engagement with the private sector, professional associations, and non-governmental organisations<\/strong>. Faculty serve in advisory capacities, on boards of financial and innovation entities, and as contributors to national reform initiatives. Large-scale university\u2013industry collaboration programmes and partnerships with professional bodies facilitate the translation of research insights into organisational practice. Through executive training initiatives, invited workshops, and practitioner-oriented events, faculty contribute to leadership development, strategic decision-making and organisational effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Entrepreneurship and innovation<\/strong> constitute a defining dimension of the Department\u2019s impact. The Department provides entrepreneurship education and mentoring to students, supporting the development of business ideas, preparing them for competitive pitches and access to funding opportunities. Department-supported student teams consistently achieve distinction in national entrepreneurship competitions, with many groups progressing to European stages. Through these efforts, the Department contributes to the development of entrepreneurial capability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Faculty members have also played a central role in <strong>institutional governance and reform within the University of Cyprus<\/strong>. Drawing on expertise in organisational governance, human resource management and gender equality, colleagues have contributed to the development and implementation of key institutional frameworks, including gender equality and sexual harassment policies. Beyond formal policy development, faculty have initiated and supported activities promoting dialogue on inclusion, integrity, and social responsibility within higher education. These initiatives have included awareness events, thematic exhibitions, artistic and performative engagements, documentary screenings, and discussion panels addressing inequality and institutional ethics.
