Dimitris Baslam
Dimitris Baslam is and declares himself a musician. A professional in the field who, through his desire to find other means of expression, led to the writing of children's and teenage books, the creation of musical performances based on these books and the release of CDs with the pieces of the performances in his own music and lyrics and performance well-known Greek and Cypriot musicians such as Yannis Charoulis, Argyris Bakirtzis, Sokratis Malamas, Alcinoos Ioannidis and many others. Recently, he was involved in the transfer of his latest book entitled "The Shoes of the Baritone" to the theater, in a dance theater performance for which he directed and wrote the music.
He has written music for theater and cinema, presented the performance based on his first book "The Gargalist" at the Athens Concert Hall with great success and has been awarded the state prize for children's illustrated book 2013 for the book "The Angry Concrete Mixer", by the Department of Letters, Books & Digital Content of the Cultural Policy Implementation Directorate of the General Directorate of Contemporary Culture of the Ministry of Culture, Education and Religion of Greece
