Offer a placement and let our students share their knowledge and fresh perspective with your organization<\/strong><\/p>\n

The University of Cyprus, was a part and coordinated a Student Placement Program in\u00a0the framework of the co-financed Project \u201cUniversity Liaison Offices with the labour market\u201d<\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0funded by the Structural Funds of the European Union, where students at the University of Cyprus had the opportunity of a placement so that they could share and apply their academic knowledge and new approaches in a work environment while gaining\u00a0 valuable experience and developing\u00a0 their skills.<\/p>\n

After the end of the Project, the University of Cyprus continues this action with the same intensity, offering opportunities to its students to continue applying their academic knowledge in real working conditions and to gain valuable practical experiences under the supervision of experienced executives in businesses and organizations operating in Cyprus. The Liaison Office of the University of Cyprus is the catalyst for this effort, serving as the common point of reference between students, academics and businesses\/organizations.<\/p>\n

Employment in the form of a placement is an extremely beneficial experience for both businesses and host organizations, as new human resources enrich business activities with fresh ideas and modern know-how. At the same time, liaising businesses and organizations with the academic departments of the University of Cyprus contributes constructively to the shaping of study programs, so that they are consistent with the modern needs of the labor market. The design or revision of study programs, so that they are in line with the actual needs of the labour market is an important advantage of the close cooperation between academia and business.<\/p>\n

Most organizations and businesses have evaluated and continue to evaluate this action of the University of Cyprus very positively, maintaining their undiminished interest in attracting students. It is worth noting that, through this action, organizations\/businesses are given the opportunity to assess the capabilities and knowledge of students and to offer the most capable among them permanent jobs, after the completion of their studies.<\/p>\n
