September 1, 2024We are thrilled to welcome Dr Maria Choleva to the Compas – ERC Starting Grant team and the Archaeological Research Unit, UCY – Ερευνητική Μονάδα Αρχαιολογίας, ΠΚ! Maria specialises on the materiality of craft knowledge, exploring the cultural appropriation and transmission of pottery making practices – particularly the potter’s wheel – in prehistoric societies.
For our project, Maria will investigate the intricate construction practices of Maritime Transport Containers imported to Cyprus!
