The Confucius Institute at the University of Cyprus (CI at UCY), as from September 2019 has become an official Test Centre in Cyprus for the Chinese Proficiency Tests.

The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi), is an international standardized Chinese language test, organised by Hanban, to measure the ability of non-native Chinese speakers to communicate in Chinese in their daily lives, as well as in academic and working settings.

The HSK Test is divided into two independent parts: the written tests and the oral tests can be taken separately. The written tests include HSK Level 1, HSK Level 2, HSK Level 3, HSK Level 4, HSK Level 5 and HSK Level 6. The oral tests include HSKK 1 (basic), HSKK 2 (intermediate) and HSKK 3 (advanced). All oral tests are recorded.

The Confucius Institute at the University of Cyprus announces the holding of written HSK examination (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) on Sunday, 19th of May 2024.

How to register for the HSK Exams

Create an Account
Log into the website www.chinesetest.cn and create an account. The website is available in 7 languages, including English.
Test Registration
Use newly registered account login and press Book a Test to register for the HSK Test.
Choose Test Level
Choose your test level according to your own situation
Fill in Exam-related Information
Fill in the Test Information
Fill in Personal Information
Please provide necessary personal information including Address, Nationality, Mother Language and Date of Birth. The fields marked with * are required information. Click Next when finish.
Upload Photo
Make sure the photo upload meets all the requirements. If the size is too big you can press Cutting. Please make sure the photo upload meets all the requirements Photo size: 15kb~1M Photo format: jpg, jpeg, png Photo requirements: must be a recent photo, headshot clearly visible.
Confirm your Personal Information
Your score report will be mailed to the test center where you registered, please click "Next" to continue registration. Please check your personal information again and press Submit. Then you will get a notification that you have successfully Pre-registered.
Pay the Test Fees
Pay the test fees at least 27 days before the test date in one of the following ways: 1. Transfer the test fees to the CI at UCY bank account before the registration deadline. In the transaction purpose please state the NAME of the EXAMINE and the HSK LEVEL. Test Registration Confirmation
After completing registration and paying test fees, test takers who have provided valid e-mail address, can check their inbox for the confirmation email. The email will be sent 10 days before the test date.
Print Test Admission Ticket
Log in to www.chinesetest.cn by using your username and password to print the Admission Ticket (Personal Information Centre ->Test Taker Information ->Print). Test takers are required to bring their Admission Ticket and ID Certificate to the Test Centre on the test date.
Test Results
You can check your test result online at www.chinesetest.cn ("Score" field) five weeks after the test date, using your name and the number on your Admission Ticket. Please note that the information you enter must exactly match the information on the Admission Ticket.

HSK Test Guidance and Preparation Session

The Confucius Institute at the University of Cyprus, the official HSK Test Centre in Cyprus, organized on Friday, 25th of November 2022 a free HSK Test Guidance and Preparation session for all levels (HSK 1, HSK 2, HSK 3, HSK 4, HSK 5, HSK 6).
The Confucius Institute at the UCY teachers informed the examiners about the tests structure, content and timing and shared effective ways to prepare for the exams.
