Why did you choose our program at the University of Cyprus?

The Postgraduate School of the University of Cyprus, with its doctoral programme specifically dedicated to Digital Heritage and Landscape Archaeology, constituted a great ambition for me, providing an excellent and ideal framework within which complete and perfect my academic training

Which aspects of the program were your favourite?

What I really appreciate is the opportunity to count on the prompt and constant advice and expertise of a highly specialised staff, which populate a dynamic and stimulating environment which is perfect for cultivating both the theoretical and technical skills needed to properly and consciously select, manage and apply GeoInformatics tools as a valuable support for the scope of my PhD research.

What would you suggest to students looking into applying for the program?

If you are interested in building up or improving your knowledge and abilities in the application of digital tools to archaeological studies this is the perfect program for you. No matter if the content of the program is totally new, as the teaching methods and language are very clear and easily understandable for the ones who are starting to approach the subject. Everyone has the necessary time and support to practice and refine his/her skills, before getting a 360° perspective on the possibilities offered by digital tools for personal research or professional commitments.

What is your favourite memory from your studies at UCY?

I have just started my PhD in Digital Heritage and Landscape Archaeology, but what I will never forget are the warm welcome, the professionality, and the availability to constantly discuss the best strategies to refine my research's methods and purposes. Any help and useful training for perfecting my skills have always been offered, and I have always found help and encouragement when I needed to orient myself among research topics and working environments that were completely new to me.
