His current research is focusing:1) Synthesis, spectroscopic, NMR and single crystal X-ray characterization and reactivity of bioinorganic models, 2) Binding and activation of inert molecules (CO2) from biomimetic molecules and heteropolyoxometalates, 3) Interaction of metal ions with quinones, focusing on the photochemical properties, 4) Chemistry and photochemistry of organic lanthanides with applications in OLEDs and solar spectrum condensation, 5) Design and synthesis of organic molecules that selectively bind metal ions, separation of Uranyl ion from radionuclear wastes, 6) Synthesis of functionalized with selective organic metal ligators silicates with applications in synthesis of filters for removal of metals from water or wastes 7) Synthesis and anticancer properties of Selenium-tocopherol / tocotrienol conjugated molecules.
