Αποφοίτησε από το τμήμα Οικονομικών του Πανεπιστημίου του York (1999), και έλαβε μεταπτυχιακά διπλώματα MSc (2001) και PhD (2006) από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Leicester. Έχει διδάξει στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Leicester (Teahing Fellow) και διεξάγει έρευνα στο Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CreAM) στο Κολλεγιακό Πανεπιστήμιο του Λονδίνου (UCL). Λέκτορας (2008-2012), Επίκουρος Καθηγητής (2012-2021), Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής (2021 - ) στο Τμήμα Οικονομικών του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου.
