* Μελέτη της αλληλεπίδρασης (ραδιο)τοξικών μεταλλοϊόντων με κολλοειδή συστήματα, επιφάνειες ορυκτών, φυσικής οργανικής ύλης και ινών βιοάνθρακα σε υδατικά συστήματα για καταννόηση και περιγραφή της συμπεριφοράς τους στη γεώσφαιρα και την ανάπτυξη τεχνολογιών απορρύπανσης υδατικών συστημάτων.
 
* Παρασκευή και χαρακτηρισμό συμπλόκων (ραδιο)τοξικών μεταλλοϊόντων με βιοενεργά μόρια-υποκαταστάτες σαν πρώτο βήμα στη κατανόηση της συμπεριφοράς αυτών των στοιχείων σε ζωντανά συστήματα και στην ανάπτυξη χηλικών φαρμάκων.
 
* Ανάπτυξη και εφαρμογή απλών και αξιόπιστων ραδιοαναλυτικών μεθόδων για τον προσδιορισμό φυσικής και τεχνητής ραδιενέργειας σε περιβαλλοντικά δείγματα και συστήματα.
