Dr. Andreas Mitsis graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras in 2006 and completed his training in Cardiology at the Cardiology Clinic of the General Hospital of Nicosia in 2015. He worked as a fellow in Intensive Care at the ICU of the Nicosia General Hospital and as a Consultant Cardiologist at Larnaca General Hospital. From 2016 till 2018 he worked as a Clinical Fellow in Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, where he was trained in coronary interventions and in the endovascular management of the diseases of the Aorta. In 2018 he was awarded a 12-month training and research grant by the European Society of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) in the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland, where he was specialized in newer techniques in coronary and structural interventions. From January 2020 he is member of the interventional team of the General Hospital of Nicosia. Dr. Mitsis has published more than 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals, he has contributed to the writing of 3 cardiovascular textbooks, and he has given many oral and abstract presentations in international congresses. He is an active member of the Cyprus Medical Association and the Cyprus Society of Cardiology, the Cyprus Resuscitation Council (KYSAN), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and the European Society of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI).
