Andreas Charalambous

Chemistry degree from the Faculty of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2005). Graduate studies in Advanced Chemical Analysis (2007) and PhD in Advanced Chemical Analysis – Archaeometry (2010) from the Chemistry Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has worked as a research fellow at the Archaeometry Laboratory of the Cultural and Educational Technology Institute (CETI) at Xanthi (2006-2009). Since 2011 he has been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in various Research Programs (e.g. NARNIA, STARLAB) at the Archaeological Research Unit of the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Cyprus.
His research interests include: chemical analysis of ancient copper alloy and gold artefacts, chemical analysis of ancient gold and silver coins, chemical and mineralogical analysis and study of Cypriot Medieval glazed pottery, chemical analysis of ancient ceramics with destructive and non-destructive techniques.
