She completed her undergraduate studies at the departments of Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies and Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies at the University of Cyprus. She then entered a graduate program at the Turkish Studies Department of St. Petersburg State University in Russia. She continued her postgraduate studies in the fields of Education (Middlesex University, UK), Turkish Language and Literature (University of Cyprus, CY), Translation (Birmingham University, UK) and in Digital Technologies in Language Teaching (University of Nottingham). She holds a PhD in Turkish Studies with specialization in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics.
She worked as a lecturer of Turkish and Greek Language and Literature at Saint Petersburg State University in Russia. He taught Turkish as a second/foreign language at the Adult Education Centers, at the State Training Institutes, the General Staff of the National Guard and the Center for Scientific Training Evaluation and Development (K.E.P.E.A.A.) of the University of Cyprus. She worked as a specialist and a Turkish language consultant for all levels at the State Institutes for Further Education of the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth. She worked as a Turkish translator at the 18st Primary School of Agios Antonios in Limassol, at the District Court of Limassol, at the Central Police of Limassol, at the Welfare Offices in Limassol, at the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare in Nicosia, at the Organization Hope for Children-UNCRC Policy Center, etc. She also worked as a collaborator at the research organization CARDET, at the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) and at the PeacePlayers organization. She has prepared educational material for learning Greek to foreigners and has designed an electronic dialectal phraseological dictionary of Cypriot Greek and Cypriot Turkish.
From 2006 until today she has been teaching the Turkish language at the Language Center of the University of Cyprus to undergraduate and postgraduate students at all levels. She also works in the Adult Turkish Language programs organized by the Language Center of UCY. She has teaching experience at all levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1-C2. He has also offered accelerated courses at the KE.DI.MA of the University of Cyprus to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students.
From 2019 until 2021 he assumed the duties of Member Representative of Special Scientists in the Council of the Language Center of the University of Cyprus. From 2019 until 2021 she was the chairwoman of the Human Rights and Social Affairs Committee of the Parallel Parliament for Civil Society. From 2017 until today she is the chairwoman of the Cyprus Roma Association (CyPROM). Also, from 2017 until 2021 she was the secretary and from 2022 she is the Media Coordinator of the English Language Teachers Association (CyTEA).
She participates as a speaker in conferences and seminars both in Cyprus and abroad. He has published in international scientific journals, book chapters, collective volumes and proceedings of scientific conferences on topics related to foreign language teaching, multilingualism, language policies, the preservation of minority languages, and national strategies for the inclusion of Roma in the main areas of education. , employment, health care and housing. She organized conferences, workshops, film screenings, festivals with great success.
