DORA LOIZIDOU
Dora Loizidou is a Lecturer in Language Teaching and Digital Technologies at the Department of French and European Studies, University of Cyprus. She holds a PhD in Language Sciences from the University Grenoble Alpes, Master’s Research in Teaching of French as a Foreign Language from Stendhal – Grenoble 3 University, MA in Teaching of Foreign Languages and Bachelor in French Language and Literature at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Her research focuses on Language Teaching, digital learning environments, computer-mediated communication, human-computer interaction and hybrid or telecollaborative education. She has coordinated international projects on online intercultural exchanges and contributes to European initiatives promoting multilingualism and digital language education.
Her publications address the pedagogical design of online tasks, learner engagement, and the integration of technology to foster learner autonomy and empowerment. In addition to her research, she is actively involved in curriculum design, teacher training, and the promotion of innovative practices in higher education.
Her recent work explores the critical and creative use of artificial intelligence in language learning, reflecting her ongoing commitment to linking pedagogical innovation with linguistic and intercultural development.
She is a member of the LIDILEM research laboratory of Grenoble Alpes University.
Coordinator of the action research of the project Le français en (première) ligne with Grenoble Alpes University (since 2011).
