Evgenia Mesaritou holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cambridge. She works on pilgrimage and the connection of religion with politics and cultural heritage. In 2020 she completed a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship (University of Cyprus and University of Toronto, Canada). The research project was entitled “Sharing without Solidarity: Politics, Heritage and Pilgrimage in a Divided European Society”.
