COORDINATION AND SUPERVISION OF POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH PROGRAMMES
 

HIPPONAX: INTRODUCTION, TEXT, COMMENTARY. Funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RESTART 2016-2020 – DIDAKTOR, with Project No. POST-DOC/0718/0119) (2020–2022)

Postdoctoral programme conducted by Dr Margarita Alexandrou. The main objective is the publication of the first complete commentary (incl. a full introduction and updated text) on the extant works of the archaic iambic poet Hipponax of Ephesos (6th century BCE). The project is under contract for publication by Oxford University Press.

MELAMPODIA: INTRODUCTION, TEXT AND COMMENTARY. Funded by the University of Cyprus – Research programme “Onisilos” (2020–2022)

Postdoctoral programme conducted by Dr Irini Kyriakou. The objective is the publication of a comprehensive commentary on the pseudo-Hesiodic fragmentary poem entitled Melampodia.

FRAGMENTA IAMBICA: SEMONIDEA, MINORA, ADESPOTA. Funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RESTART 2016-2020 – OPPORTUNITY MSCA, with Project No. OPPORTUNITY/0916/MSCA/0009) (2018–2021)
 
Postdoctoral programme conducted by Dr Margarita Alexandrou. Α commentary (in English) on a collection of iambic corpora (Semonides of Amorgos, minor iambographers, iambic adespota) is currently in preparation. The project also investigated the methodology of working with ancient poetic fragments.

    The dictionary has been compiled in collaboration with Emeritus Professor of Linguistics at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki Dr Charalambos Symeonides and Dr Asimakis Fliatouras (Ph. D. in Linguistics) for the use of the Pedagogical Institute, Ministry of National Education and Religions of Greece. We were assigned the task of composing the dictionary because of our success in the open competition organised by the Pedagogical Institute of Greece.
