Nikoletta Dimitriou is a Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Cyprus Medical School since January 2022.
She previously served as a Consultant Surgeon in the 1st Department of Surgery of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003 and she completed her Residency in the 1st Department of Surgery of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and became Board Certified in General Surgery in 2011.
In the years 2011-2014, she sub-specialized in Colorectal Surgery, Pelvic Floor Disorders and Minimal Invasive Surgery at St. Mark’s Hospital in London and Queen Elisabeth Hospital in Birmingham, UK.
In 2014, she was awarded her PhD diploma with first class honours from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Miss Dimitriou possess a Master in Science in Coloproctology for University of East Anglia and she was awarded with the title of F.E.B.S. (Fellowship of the European Board of Surgery) in Coloproctology, from the Section of Surgery & European Board of Surgery, in 2019.
She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and her main research interests are colorectal cancer, ΑΙΝ and pelvic floor diseases.
