Nopi Nicolaou Telemachou is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Educational Sciences, University of Cyprus where she lectures on courses related to music education primary and pre primary teachers. She holds a BM- University of Texas at Austin ( Choral Emphasis), an MA in Music Education - Institute of Education, University of London and a PhD - University of Exeter. She also had additional studies in the Kodaly approach and in the Suzuki Pedagogy and Teaching.  

She is the co-author of the book chapter  Voices and Positions. In: Gonçalves S., Majhanovich S. (eds) Art and Intercultural Dialogue, which was nominated for and thereafter awarded the Children's Identity and Citizenship European Association Best Publication Award for 2017.

She has been also a member of the National Committee for the music curriculum of Cyprus public schools. For the past two years she been actively involve and responsible for the music in-service training of the public preschool teachers. She is the General Secretary of the Board of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra ( CYSO) and the Chair Woman of the Humanitarian NGO " Sophia for Children". 

 Her research interests include Social Psychology of Music, Teacher Training, Creativity, Developing artistic activities in early childhood settings.
