Pavlos Michaelides serves as a Senior Project Manager for the Twinning for Excellence in Management and Economics of Research and Innovation (TWIN4MERIT) project of the Research and Innovation and Support Service of the University of Cyprus. He previously served as the the Operations Manager of the Center for Medieval Arts and Rituals (CeMAR) at the University of Cyprus (UCY) as well as Project Manager for NetMAR. He is an experienced Operations Manager and Research Programmes Project Manager, having served as Operations Manager of the Research and Innovation Center of Excellence in Biobanking and Biomedical Research (Biobank.cy) at the UCY, as Financial and Research Management Officer for the UCY Department of Biological Sciences, and as Coordinator of the Research Development Sector of the UCY Research and Innovation Support Service. Previous duties included UCY Financial, Project and Human Resource management. He has a proved record in proposal writing, administration, facilitation, and financial management of EU Competitive Programmes in the framework of FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and Co-Financed Programmes, along with extensive experience in handling UCY state funding. He was a member of the proposal writing team of the H2020 ERA Chairs’ Programme with CSA – Coordination and Support Action funding scheme called “SInnoPSis”, which was funded with €2.5m for the creation of the University’s own ERA Chair in Science and Innovation Policy & Studies (SIPS). Furthermore, he has contributed to the proposal preparation of the NetMAR H2020-EU.4.b. – Twinning of Research Institutions Programme, and many others.
