Philemon Bantimaroudis is Professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cyprus (2018-present).  He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A. (1999).  Prior to his current appointment, he was a Professor at the University of the Aegean (Greece) and Aristotle University (Greece). Furthermore, he was a Visiting Professor at Northern Michigan University, U.S.A. (1999-2000), the University of Cyprus (2012-2013), and Wheaton College, U.S.A. (2017-2018).  His primary research interests are focused on media theory with secondary applications in culture and politics.
