Undergraduate studies at the University of Athens, Greece (B.Sc in Mathematics, 1990), graduate studies at the University of Augsburg (Dr. rer. nat. 1997). She has worked as visiting researcher at the University of Munster (SFB478) and as research assistant at the University of Hull. She has taught at the University of Augsburg (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) and at the University of Cyprus (Lecturer 1998-2002, Assistant Professor 2002-2007, Associate Professor 2007).
