During his two-hour visit, the Iraqi President discussed with the Rector\u2019s Authorities issues related to the development and cooperation between the University of Cyprus and Iraqi Educational President of Iraq, Dr Rashid stated that he was excited by the facilities of the Campus, but also the work which is carried out by the Higher Academic Institution and stated that although Cyprus is a small country, it nevertheless plays an important role in the region, due to its geographical character, its history, as well as the fact that it is a member state of the European Union.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Then, the President of Iraq was guided to the facilities of the \u201cStelios Ioannou\u201d Information Center \u2013 Library, where he had the opportunity to talk with his compatriots studying at the University of Cyprus.
