As part of the School’s Strategic Plan, the School established the FEM Brown Bag Seminar Series, aiming at promoting interdisciplinarity and collaboration and identifying possible synergies between faculty members. These seminars are informal in nature, are organized by the Dean’s office, in collaboration with the Departments, on a monthly basis, and all faculty members can present their research. A typical FEM Brown Bag Seminar lasts 1½ hours and includes a presentation by the faculty member, followed by constructive discussion among the attendees. The seminars are open to all PhD students, visiting academics, special scientists, researchers and other faculty associates.
