The lecture, titled <em>&#8220;A Non-Mentalistic Account of Corporate Agency and Responsibility,&#8221;<\/em> will take place on <strong>Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 10:00 am<\/strong>\u00a0in <strong>Ioannis Taifakos Hall (A106), 75 Kallipoleos \u2013 Central Building<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In this talk, Professor Pauer-Studer will explore an alternative perspective on corporate agency, arguing that corporations and organizations can be considered agents without attributing to them mental states such as beliefs, desires, and intentions. By analyzing their constitutional structure and the roles of their key members, she will demonstrate how these entities function as decision-making agents. Furthermore, she will discuss how this non-mentalistic approach enables the attribution of moral responsibility to corporations and organizations, particularly concerning their social and environmental impact. The talk will also examine the accountability of senior managers for unethical or illegal corporate practices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We warmly invite you to attend this engaging and thought-provoking lecture.
