Students and new graduates can be placed in companies, organizations, research centers, universities etc. in one of the European countries participating in the program to acquire work experience.<\/p>\n<p>The duration of the mobility within the 2023 Call\u00a0 is from 2-12 months. Short-term doctoral mobility is allowed for a shorter duration of 5-30 days.<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of the new Erasmus+ Program period 2021-2027, <strong>for the approved 2023 funding project<\/strong>, blended mobility is allowed, i.e. virtual mobility combined with physical mobility (minimum duration of physical mobility 2 months maximum 12 months) for specific categories of participants who belong in the category of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucy.ac.cy\/ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2024\/02\/People-with-fewer-opportunities-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">people with fewer opportunities<\/a> as this is described in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>countries<\/strong> that participate in the <strong>Erasmus+ Program<\/strong> are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The 27 EU member countries:<\/strong> Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Malta, Portugal, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia<\/li>\n<li><strong>The countries of the European Economic Area:<\/strong> Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein<\/li>\n<li><strong>The candidate countries for accession:<\/strong> Turkey, Serbia, and North Macedonia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Plus, all other countries of the world divided into geographic regions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What placements can offer me:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>You can gain <strong>useful and practical experiences<\/strong> in your field of study<\/li>\n<li>You can <strong>enrich your knowledge of foreign languages and travel<\/strong> to neighboring countries.<\/li>\n<li>You can make <strong>new friends, live alone, and to get to know other cultures and civilizations<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You can acquire<strong> new skills (soft skills)<\/strong> that you will not learn in classrooms (such as problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, quick decision-making, creative thinking, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<table width=\"344\" bgcolor=\"d0d0d0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p id=\"section-3\"><strong>What I need to know before applying<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Students can participate from the first year<\/strong> of their studies.<\/li>\n<li>Eligibility for new graduates: Applicants must apply for participation shortly <strong>before graduation<\/strong> and must <strong>complete their placement within 12 months from the time of their graduation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Employment can be in <strong>companies, training centers, research centers, universities, embassies<\/strong>, and other organizations other than EU institutions.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>minimum<\/strong> duration of a placement is<strong> 2 months<\/strong>, and the <strong>maximum is 12 months<\/strong>. This applies to every study cycle (combined duration with Erasmus studies). In the case of virtual mobility, the duration does not count in the total of 12 months. The <strong>short-term mobility of doctoral students<\/strong> is from <strong>5-30 days of physical mobility<\/strong> and may include an online part in addition to the days of the physical mobility.<\/li>\n<li>If a student or new graduate\u00a0 previously participated in a placement in an organization, <strong>he\/she cannot participate again in the same host organization for more than 2 times.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If a student or new graduate previously participated in a placement in a specific organization and wishes to participate again in the same host, <strong>he\/she will be approved for the minimum amount of funding, i.e. for 2 months if there is no available funding to satisfy all requests.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If a student or graduate has <strong>past work experience in his\/her study field, he\/she may not be approved for participation<\/strong> since the purpose of the program is to obtain a first work experience.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> maximum placement duration for undergraduate students is 3 months<\/strong>, while for <strong>postgraduate, doctoral students, and graduates, the placement can be up to 12 months if funding<\/strong> is available and other conditions are met. If the applications exceed the number of available places, the approved funding can be reduced to the minimum, i.e., to cover the 2 months with\u00a0 the remaining months without funding (ZERO GRANT).<\/li>\n<li>The student or graduate <strong>cannot be placed in more than one<\/strong> host organization during the same placement period.<\/li>\n<li>Students\/New Graduates who wish to do a placement in their country of permanent residence<strong> will have a very low priority for approval.<\/strong> If approved, this will be done in the last calls and as long as there are available places for funding and all requests for placement outside the country of permanent residence are satisfied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<table bgcolor=\"d0d0d0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p id=\"section-4\"><strong>What are the selection criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Suitability of the host organization<\/strong> and <strong>the relevance of the host organization and the job position<\/strong> with the student\u2019s\/graduate\u2019s <strong>field of study<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The agreement of the department<\/strong> in the case of master and\/or doctoral students wishing to take part during the academic year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The agreement of the department<\/strong> in the case that ECTS will be recognized or in the case of the Elective of the School of Medicine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge of English or other language<\/strong> if the host organization is located in a non-Greek-speaking country.<\/li>\n<li>The availability <strong>of the funding.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>approval of\u00a0 participants<\/strong> from <strong>different departments<\/strong> even with less funding if <strong>necessary.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<table bgcolor=\"d0d0d0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p id=\"section-5\"><strong>Call of applications<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div>\n<p>Under the new Call, applications will be submitted through the UCY PORTAL until the<strong> 6th of April 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Call applies to the following categories:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Undergraduate students<\/strong>\u00a0for placements which will be realized during the period from\u00a0<strong>mid-May 2025 \u2013 end\u00a0of August 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Master and PhD students<\/strong>\u00a0for placements which will be realized during the\u00a0<strong>period from 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of May\u00a02025 \u2013 31st of July 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Master and PhD students\u00a0for placements which will be realized during the\u00a0period from 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0of August 2025 \u2013\u00a0end of December 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Graduates of December 2024<\/strong>, for placements which will be realized during the\u00a0<strong>period from\u00a05<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of May\u00a02025\u00a0\u2013 end of November 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Expected graduates<\/strong>\u00a0(grad. The acceptance should mention the<strong> actual dates of the placement, the position<\/strong> you have been offered, <strong>the name and contact details and type of the organization<\/strong>. The acceptance may be <strong>in the form of a letter or an electronic message (e-mail), <\/strong>you will need to save it in<strong> pdf format<\/strong> and upload it to the <strong>portal<\/strong> in your application. The application should be<strong> submitted within the predetermined deadline of the current call.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The online application has <strong>2 stages, completion and submission.<\/strong> <strong>Both<\/strong> <strong>must be completed<\/strong> in order for your application to be successfully submitted in the system.<\/p>\n<p>Upon <strong>successful submission<\/strong>, you will Croatian, Latvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Czech and Finnish.<\/p>\n<p>By taking a language assessment through OLS before going abroad, Erasmus+ participants can establish their level of knowledge in the language in which they will study, work or volunteer. This ensures that the participants have the language level required by the host institution. The results of the language assessment do not exclude the possibility of participating in Erasmus+.<\/p>\n<p>Participants who wish to improve their level of language skills have the possibility to attend online language courses before and during their stay abroad.
