{"id":2051,"date":"2022-02-25T23:33:25","date_gmt":"2022-02-25T20:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newdev.ucy.ac.cy\/netmar\/?p=2051"},"modified":"2022-03-16T19:07:05","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T16:07:05","slug":"postdoctoral-researchers-positions-2-in-byzantine-studies-and-digital-humanities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucy.ac.cy\/netmar\/postdoctoral-researchers-positions-2-in-byzantine-studies-and-digital-humanities\/","title":{"rendered":"Postdoctoral researchers positions (2) in Byzantine Studies and Digital Humanities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Postdoctoral researchers positions (2) in Byzantine Studies and Digital Humanities<\/h4>\n<p>In the framework of the project \u201cDigiByzSeal \u2013 Unlocking the value of seals: New Methodologies for Historical Research in Byzantine Studies\u201d (more on the project\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ifa.phil-fak.uni-koeln.de\/forschung\/byzantinistik-und-neugriechische-philologie-forschung\/drittmittel-projekte\/digibyzseal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>here<\/em><\/a>) jointly funded by the ANR and the DFG, there are open positions for:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 postdoctoral researchers in Byzantine Studies and Digital Humanities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>to start on\u00a0April 1st 2022 for 24 months.<\/p>\n<p>This call for application is intended for early career researchers, with less than 4 years of experience, but priority will be given to applicants having finished their PhD no longer than 2 years prior to the beginning of the contract.<\/p>\n<p>You will work within the CNRS \u2013 UMR 8167, Orient et M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, \u00e9quipe Monde Byzantin, based in Paris (5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0arrondissement), in the premises of the Coll\u00e8ge de France, where the work will be carried out under the supervision of Alessio Sopracasa, scientific responsible of the project.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge in Byzantine history, sigillography, epigraphy and\/or numismatics as well as XML (particularly TEI and EpiDoc) and XSLT are preferable, but not mandatory.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that in order to submit your application you will have to sign up on the job portal of the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), where the 2 calls (one per vacancy) are available, with further information and requirements:<\/p>\n<p>NB: there are two calls, one for each vacancy.
