NetMAR Concluding Conference on Monday, 04 December 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

NetMAR Concluding Conference Programme<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Concluding Conference of the Network for Medieval Arts & Rituals (NetMAR) will take place on Monday, the 4th<\/sup> of December 2023 at the Ceremonial Hall of the University of Cyprus. The event will formally launch Eventum: A Journal of Medieval Arts & Rituals <\/em>(https:\/\/riviste.unimi.it\/index.php\/eventum<\/a>), NetMAR\u2019s major deliverable, and it will include the first public performance of a short musical ritual for violin and piano entitled Passage <\/em>that was composed by Nils Holger Petersen \u2013 a key member of the NetMAR team \u2013 for this special event. The conference will also contain the success stories of NetMAR\u2019s early-stage researchers, presentations of the project\u2019s results and impacts, and a round table on European cultural heritage featuring two keynote speakers \u2013 Bettina Wagner and Patricia Alberth \u2013 who are world specialists in the management and preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The event will close with a reception, facilitating networking between the participants and attendants of the event.<\/p>\n

NetMAR is an international interdisciplinary network dedicated to the study of medieval arts and rituals that has received funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme (grant agreement no. 951875) for three years (2021-2023). The project has brought together scholars, researchers, and students from different countries, institutions, and disciplines and has reached out to various stakeholders. NetMAR is made up of three major partners \u2013 the University of Cyprus (UCY) and its newly-created Centre for Medieval Arts & Rituals (CeMAR); the Centre for Medieval Literature (CML) at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU); and the Centre for Medieval Studies (ZeMas) at the University of Bamberg (UNI BA) \u2013 and is funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n
