The Kindergarten “Lito Papachristoforou” and the University of Cyprus Nursery welcomed their first little kids in September 2011. Although they appear as two separate buildings from the outside, they are, in fact, connected internally. The modern facilities and equipment they provide create a safe and joyful environment for the children.

The Nursery is divided into three sections, accommodating a total of 28 infants:

  • Two sections for infants under two years of age (from 4 months up to 24 months).
  • One section for infants aged 2-3 years. There is also a common space shared among the three sections, which is regularly updated to offer a variety of activities that support the comprehensive development of the infants. Additionally, the Nursery has a designated area for childcare, including diaper-changing stations and toilets.

The Kindergarten “Lito Papachristoforou” consists of three classes:

  • The Blue class (3-4 years old).
  • The Red class (4-5 years old).
  • The Pre-primary class.

Each class has its own restroom facilities within the classroom. Furthermore, there is a common area shared among the three classes. Additionally, within the Kindergarten’s premises, there are separate storage rooms for materials, instrument storage, and an auxiliary art room. You will also find the staff room/office and the dining area within the Kindergarten.

Both the Nursery and the Kindergarten have separate kitchens, which are used to facilitate the transition between the two buildings during the winter months. During the summer, the doors remain locked to ensure the safety of the children.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that these two institutions are internally connected through two courtyards equipped with special safety flooring for children and outdoor play equipment tailored to the age of the children who visit them daily.

Both institutions also share a unified parking area accessible only to the parents of the children and the school staff, ensuring the safety of the children.
