Dr. Martha Konstantinou – Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Temple University, Philadelphia, USA

During my Ph.D., I participated in several research programs focusing on the field of Nuclear Theoretical Physics, and in particular, studies of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), the fundamental theory of the strong interactions. My collaboration with the University of Cyprus continued after my Ph.D., and in 2012 I served as a visiting Lecturer at the University of Cyprus.
The combination of my studies and my active involvement in the world-class research group of the University of Cyprus contributed to my recognition as a scientist. In 2016 I was appointed to the internationally renowned Temple University in Philadelphia, USA, as a tenure track professor in the Department of Physics.
To this day, I work with acclaimed scientists from the University of Cyprus and US universities. My research activities are funded by the US National Science Foundation (NSF) and the US Department of Energy (DoE), providing a total of $1,000,000.
