The Promotion and Development Section comprises the following offices: Publications Office, Communications and Public Relations Office, University Development and Alumni Relations Office, and Official Events Planning Office.
The Publications Office is in charge of the production of the majority of the University's central publications (e.g.: prospectuses, annual reports, diary booklets, etc.). The Office also supports the broader academic community in matters related to publications and graphic designing. The Office, furthermore, has the responsibility and monitoring of the structure and content of the University of Cyprus’ website. It offers support to the University in matters relating to Publications’ Policies, as well as to the activities of the Cyprus University Publications (the University's scientific publications).
The Communications and Public Relations Office represents the work of the University of Cyprus, acting as the point of contact for members of the press and other media representatives. The Office is responsible for maintaining the image of the Organization, gaining publicity and disseminating information to members of the press or other media representatives. The Office is responsible for internal and external communications, in order to ensure that the Organization communicates in a consistent manner its messages to stakeholders, including current and prospective students, employees, suppliers, donors/sponsors and the Media. The staff of the Office is also responsible for organizing special events such as press conferences, exhibitions, guided tours for media representatives, events in collaboration with departments / faculties / administrative services, lectures, roundtable discussions, art exhibitions, book presentations, official visits, etc.
The University Development and Alumni Relations Office is mainly responsible for the planning, designing, and execution of a set of extensive programs which involve a number of activities used to keep the alumni informed and render concrete benefits to them while the University Development Officer prepares all fundraising plans and ensure compliance to all company strategies and monitors all associate fundraising activities and carries out fund raising campaigns. The Office liaises among the University and the alumni community as well as with existing and potential donors and sponsors.
The Οfficial Events Planning Office is responsible for the planning and implementation of the University's official events.
