The Promotion and Development Section comprises the following offices:\u00a0Publications Office, Communications and Public Relations Office, University Development and Alumni Relations Office, and Official Events Planning Office.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Publications Office<\/strong> is responsible for producing most of the\u00a0 University’s central publications (e.g. prospectuses, annual reports, diary booklets, etc.). The Office also supports the wider academic community on matters\u00a0 related to publications and graphic design. Additionally, the Office provides support to the University regarding\u00a0 publication policies and the activities of the Cyprus University Press (the University’s scientific publishing arm).<\/p>\n The\u00a0Communications and Public Relations Office<\/strong>\u00a0represents the work of the University of Cyprus, acting as the point of contact for members of the press and other media representatives. The Office is responsible for maintaining the image of the Organization, gaining publicity and disseminating information to members of the press or other media representatives. The Office is responsible for internal and external communications, in order to ensure that the Organization communicates in a consistent manner its messages to stakeholders, including current and prospective students, employees, suppliers, donors\/sponsors and the Media. The staff of the Office is also responsible for organizing special events such as press conferences, exhibitions, guided tours for media representatives, events in collaboration with departments \/ faculties \/ administrative services, lectures, roundtable discussions, art exhibitions, book presentations, official visits, etc.<\/p>\n The\u00a0University Development and Alumni Relations Office<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0mainly responsible for the planning, designing, and execution of a set of extensive programs which involve a number of activities used to keep the alumni informed and render concrete benefits to them while the University Development Officer prepares all fundraising plans and ensure compliance to all company strategies and monitors all associate fundraising activities and carries out fund raising campaigns. The\u00a0Office liaises among the University and the alumni community as well as with existing and potential donors and sponsors.<\/p>\n The Events Office<\/strong> implements activities which aim to connect the work produced at the University of Cyprus with the society in general and highlight the positive societal impact of science.
