The Journalism Programme offers courses that develop the critical and cognitive skills of students. Some of the Programme’s most important goals are:
(a) Familiarizing students with media organizations and industries as well as the most important technologies that have been recognized as milestones in the development of communication.
(b) Providing research training to social scientists.
(c) Encouraging rigorous research in the field of journalism.
(d) Cultivating basic skills, such as writing and reporting.
(e) Advancing the interdisciplinary aspect of journalism and its relationship with other social sciences and humanities - history, language, economics, sociology, political science.
(g) Providing basic technical skills for collecting and analyzing information, producing audiovisual content and honing the art of telling stories.
