A presentation by Professor Eva Maria Belser, Co-Director of the Swiss Institute on Federalism, accompanied by some insights into practice in the field of education from Dr Bernard Wicht, Head of International Affairs of the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education.<\/p>\n

Swiss federalism, which stands as a unique and robust model of governance, is characterized by its deep-rooted tradition of decentralization. Through her presentation, the Professor Belser will examine its historical evolution, institutional structures, and the balancing act between cantonal autonomy and national unity. The example of inter-cantonal cooperation in the field of education will illustrate both the advantages and the challenges of such a system, offering valuable perspective on how it can address the issue of preserving diversity in an increasingly interconnected world.<\/p>\n
