
Dr Athena Tsouderou
Athena Tsouderou is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Miami Herbert Business School, where her research focuses on climate finance, household finance, and real estate markets. Athena holds a PhD in Finance, cum laude, and a Master’s in Research from IE Business School in Spain. She earned a Master’s in Actuarial Science from Columbia University in New York, for which she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from the University of Cyprus. Her research addresses pressing policy questions, utilizing advanced econometric techniques and quantitative models. Her work has been honored with prestigious awards like the Edwin Mills best paper award by the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association and the ING Think Forward Initiative grant.
