The Storytelling as Pharmakon in Premodernity and Beyond (<\/em>StoryPharm)<\/em> Doctoral Network continues its advanced training programme with a dedicated webinar on entrepreneurship for humanities researchers, titled \u201cHow to Become a Sciencepreneur.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n The training will take place on 30 April 2026 at 13:00 CET<\/strong>, hosted by the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (BIG \u2013 B\u00fcro f\u00fcr Innovation und Gr\u00fcndung)<\/strong> offered by the University of Bamberg<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n Delivered by Anette Kremer<\/strong> and Sebastian Hillebrand<\/strong>, the session provides doctoral candidates with a structured introduction to the entrepreneurial pathway as a viable mechanism for research exploitation.<\/p>\n With a total duration of 270 minutes<\/strong>, the training is designed to bridge the gap between academic research and value creation through business development.<\/p>\n The webinar addresses a central question increasingly relevant within European research and innovation policy: how can humanities scholars translate research insights into societal and economic value?<\/p>\n Participants will explore:<\/p>\n The programme combines interactive elements, group work, and applied tools. It begins with an introduction to innovation support structures and participant exchange, followed by a focused exploration of scientific versus entrepreneurial mindsets. A substantial part of the training is dedicated to translating research into impact-driven ideas, using frameworks such as \u201cStart with Why\u201d and reflective exercises on value creation.<\/p>\n In the second half, participants are introduced to concrete tools for business development, including the Product Field approach<\/strong> and the Business Model Canvas \/ Research Canvas<\/strong>, enabling them to structure and refine potential entrepreneurial concepts.
