Michael<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Associate Professor<\/strong><br \/>\nResearch interests focused on: a) history of the institutions of the Ottoman Empire and the changes after the end of the 16th century, b) history of Cyprus during the Ottoman period with emphasis on the status of the Orthodox Church, c) the transition from the Ottomans to the British Administration. The changes related to the status of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus, d) study of archival material such as documents and codex material of the Ottoman period of the history of Cyprus, e) study of the post-Ottoman Cypriot historiography concerning the Ottoman period of the island.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucy.ac.cy\/dir\/en\/people\/sgulsh01\">Gulshen Sakhatova<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Assistant Professor<\/strong><br \/>\nMood and modality in general linguistics \u25cf Verb system of Turkic languages \u25cf Modality in Turkic languages \u25cf Spoken Turkish \u25cf Turkish as a Foreign Language: Learning and Teaching \u25cf Turkic in written monuments<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucy.ac.cy\/dir\/en\/people\/moudou\">Nikos Moudouros<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Lecturer<\/strong><br \/>\nHis research interests focus on the contemporary history of political Islam in Turkey, political economy in Turkey, contemporary political thought as well as the transformation of the relations between Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot community.
