The project plans to support the formation of Scientific Teams on a number of focal research areas. These Scientific Teams are expected to focus on theoretical models and experimental processes, empirical studies and the horizontal aspects of MERIT. These networking activities will bring together researchers from R&I management, theoretical and empirical economists and econometricians from the internationally-leading research institutes of the project to work in collaboration towards developing methodologies for setting up theoretical models, investigating horizontal issues such as gender equality and analysing data in the MERIT field. These networking activities of the Scientific Teams will produce specific scientific output (methodologies, models, datasets, empirical studies, etc.) which will have an important impact on the broader scientific community and will be linked to the research projects included in TWIN4MERIT.
